I just purchased a new 1996 Savage from a local dealer. The dealer assured me that there was no real difference between the '96 and '99 models. It's bright yellow {probably explains why it sat in the showroom for 3 years!). I'm a newbie and my husband (he rides a big ol' HD) convinced me that this would be a great bike for me. I love it thus far. I'm learning tons from this site. Thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge. I'm taking a rider course next month, so that I can gain enough confidence to ride outside my neighborhood!
I have been surfing all over the net looking for a tank divider/chaps/panel. I have checked Highway Hawk and others listed, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks
